About this place
At Saizeriya Kagurazaka Shita, you can put together a relaxed meal of a few starters and wine, or settle in for pasta and grilled dishes. For a starter, consider the caprese with buffalo mozzarella or the oven-baked escargots, described as having the aroma and depth of fermented butter. The escargots can also be tucked into focaccia and dipped in the sauce—a dish that lends itself to having bread alongside.
The mains and pasta offer distinct flavour profiles. The Diavola-style hamburger steak comes with an onion-based vegetable sauce and a soy-sauce-based sauce, making it an option when you want something lighter in flavour. The Italian hamburger steak is topped with cheese and tomato sauce; the mixed grill brings together spicy chicken and fried shrimp, gathering several cravings on one plate. Pasta options include cream spaghetti, with white sauce drawing out the aroma of three kinds of mushrooms, and soup-style vongole, marked by the savoury taste of clams and a hint of garlic. There is also a simple tomato sauce with pancetta. Add starters or focaccia for a lighter meal, or pair a hamburger steak with rice, depending on what you feel like eating.
The wine list includes red and white by the glass, as well as 250ml and 500ml decanters. A glass suits a solo drink, while a decanter can work well for a group sharing small plates. For dessert, there is Tiramisu Classico, made with mascarpone and Savoiardi, and a warm-and-cold combination of milk gelato dipped into cinnamon focaccia.
Some diners have praised the Kagurazaka branch for making it possible to order a variety of dishes without spending much. It is an option for lunch or dinner, including a late-night meal. The listed opening hours are daily from 11:00 until 4:00 the following morning.
